Wikipedia: Hudson Place is a proposed plaza of skyscrapers that will be part of the Hudson Yards Redevelopment Project in Midtown Manhattan, New York City. The Plaza will consist of 16 skyscrapers. The main tower will be called Hudson Place Tower II and will be 1,300 ft (400 m) tall. The complex will cover an area of 15.4 acres on the western side of Manhattan Island next to the West Chelsea Promenade, which will allow stores and open markets in the plaza. The western side of the plaza will be on 33rd Street and Twelfth Avenue. Eight of the buildings are residential; the other eight are mixed-use. There are 3,300 units of rooms in the buildings all together. If built it will surpass the height of the Empire State Building by 50 ft . The developer of the project is Brookfield Properties. Other firms involved are Skidmore Owings & Merrill, Field Operations, Thomas Phifer & Partners, ShoP Architects, Diller Scofidio + Renfro, SANAA, and Handel Architects. The entire project contains a total of 1,900,000 sq ft (180,000 m) of floor space. The project will be built atop the Hudson Rail Yards.
